Lyle and I are both going to Big Marine Park but I think we’re taking different routes so make sure you grab the one you want. Both of us are starting at Bald Eagle Lake Recreation Area on Hugo Road at 10:30 a.m. since mornings are getting a little cooler. I stop at Big Marine Park at 12.5 miles. There’s no food to buy there, so bring a snack. Not sure if the bathrooms and water are still available but they do have a portable toilet there also. If we’re desperate, I think the building at the entrance gate has bathrooms and water. We could also make a brief stop at Hanifl Athletic Fields at 25 miles for a portable toilet and water on our way home.

Route is rolling, familiar roads with no huge hills, but a couple little ones. My route goes through a couple neighborhoods with new pavement. The route is loaded, so please download or pin to your phone or print the “official” cue sheet. I plan to ride at a B/C pace and average around 13ish mph at the end. Faster riders are welcome to ride ahead. If you want to enjoy the scenery a little more with hopefully some colorful fall foliage, Lyle will be leading a C ride.
