Weather today … 3 different weather models, 3 different forecasts! With all of them showing the rain passing us by 10:30 or later, I plan to keep the ride and show up for a possible (probable?) 11:00 start time as posted. If it is raining at the time I won't mind delaying our actual start for 30 minutes or so, if needed.

Construction Alert: West River Road is closed just north of the park entrance. The parking lot is open but you must get to the park from the south. The road closure also affects bike traffic from the north, west or south: follow detour signs.

This is a B/C social ride with a rest stop at the very excellent Two Scoops ice cream parlor in downtown Anoka.

The route starts at the Mississippi Gateway Regional Park (formerly Coon Rapids Dam West). We follow the flat Rush Creek Trail  to Elm Creek Park (hilly). We will exit the park at the northeast corner and follow quiet streets and paths to Anoka. The rest stop is at Two Scoops. Finally we will follow the mostly flat MRT through Coon Rapids (on nice quiet streets) to Coon Rapids Dam (East). After a couple of small scenic loops on both sides of the river, we end up where we started.
