Challenge your fitness on the rolling and often steep hills (up to 17% grade) on the non-glaciated area of Wisconsin. Starting point is at Magee Park in Prescott, WI, at the end of Dexter St. We will ride the beautiful rolling hills in western Wisconsin on mostly low traffic roads along farmland, scenic rivers and streams. The route features 9 climbs with 10% or more incline and several rolling hills in between. It is designed as an excellent training route for those people ready for a challenge. This is listed as an A/B ride due to the strenuous hills, but we will average about 14-15 mph overall and will stop to regroup at the end of the climbs. Faster self sufficient riders are welcome to ride ahead. Bring your climbing gears and legs!
There will be one rest stop about halfway in Trimbelle, WI at the Gas-Lite Bar where you can buy snacks, use the bathroom, and refill your water. If you find yourself spent at the halfway point, here is a short cut back to the start. https://ridewithgps.com/routes/35738192
There are no bathrooms at the start so plan on stopping in Prescott before you meet us. Join us after the ride at Dairy Queen for a well deserved ice cream.
