We did a slightly shorter version of this route to start the C ride season back in mid-March, so let's see what things look like near the end of November. The route is entirely on roads and if the forecast holds true they should be mostly clean and dry on Saturday. This is a mapless ride, although if you'd like a map you can go into the More menu on the Ride with GPS page and choose Print Map & Cue PDF. The route doesn't have any serious hills and we will probably average around 11 mph -- maybe faster if we need to keep warm! There should be a portable toilet if anyone needs to make a pit stop at Hugo Lions Park, about 11 miles into the ride, and our primary rest stop will be at Kwik Trip in Hugo at about 16 miles. We may make additional stops for water breaks and clothing adjustments.
Directions to the start: Tell your GPS you want to go to Tamarack Nature Center or use the street address given in the ride details. We will meet in the parking lot closest to Otter Lake Road. Restrooms and water are available in the Nature Center.
Pre-registration is appreciated. If nobody registers for the C ride I'll grab my ebike and go with Carol! As always, please check the ride calendar or the TCBC Forum before leaving home to make sure the ride has not been canceled or rescheduled. Call or text Lyle at 612 516 2053 with any questions.
