Depart from Riverside Park in Menomonie, WI. Take I-94 to Menomonie, then 25 south to 29, then right on 29 (11th Avenue) across the river and left into the parking lot on the south side of 29.
Fall weather can be especially unpredictable, with both rain and wind as factors. ALWAYS check for Ride Cancellation on the day of the ride, two hours prior to ride start time.
There is a TCBC C trail ride leaving from the same location at 10:00
Okay, let's give Menomonie another try. This route has roads that are beautiful almost any time of year, and if we get some fall color, they'll be stunning. The route is 54 miles, with a shorter option of 44. I also have a 64 mile version in case anyone wants an extra 10 miles (let me know), but those who've done this route before know that 54 is plenty with 2500 feet of climbing (mostly in the first half of the route). Strong B riders should be able to finish this ride, but it will take more effort than you're accustomed to.

Rest stops on the 54 mile route are at Knapp (11 miles), Boyceville (24), and Wheeler (33). The 44 mile route skips the Wheeler stop. While early in the ride, the Knapp stop is handy especially if you forgot to stock up for the ride.
Although I'll have a small number of cue sheets available, I don't advise navigating the ride that way. We do our best to not lose track of riders, but it can happen. Bring a navigation device (cell phone with ridewithgps app or a GPS) with the route map loaded. If you don't have a navigation device, stick with someone who does.
There will be a cookout after the ride in Riverside Park or possibly Lakeside Park. Everyone is invited. I'll bring the grill, paper plates, and cutlery.. You bring something to grill, something to drink, and something to share. There's also the alternative of ordering takeout from Lucette Brewing, just a few steps from the parking lot. Their pizza gets good reviews.
