Wednesday looks like about the nicest day to ride this week with less wind and some sunshine. I’m back riding, but am doing shorter rides starting out until my hand and wrist get used to being on the handlebars again. I also only have a small window available to ride Wednesday. So, start at Oakdale Nature Preserve on Hadley Avenue at 10:45 a.m., ride to the Holiday station for a rest stop and a cookie at 12.8 miles, and head home.
Mostly familiar roads, but one that’s brand new, a little loop and a trail maybe you’ve never been on before. Or maybe you have!
Bathroom/water available at the Oakdale Discovery Center and of course, at the Holiday station. I plan to ride at a fairly mellow B/C pace and average somewhere between 12-13 mph. Faster or slower, self-sufficient riders are welcome to grab the route and ride it at your own pace, but ride leader support may not be available if you’re outside of my average speed range.
Spring weather can change in a heartbeat, so rain, gusty winds, or anything else unpleasant and I will likely cancel the ride. Please check the Ride Calendar, Forum or don’t hesitate to call or text me at 612-381-6711 to make sure ride is a go.

Route will be all on tar trails and low-traffic roads, I'm planning to ride a bike with 700x28mm tires, however even bikes with 700x23 tires have ridden this route in the past without issues.
While the posted route will get you the complete 25 mile route, please know that I do occaisionally make ride-time ad hoc changes (conditions, closures, etc), so it's best if the group that wants to stay together follows me as your leader at the rated pace.
Optionally could combine this 1 PM ride with the 10 AM ride earlier today, to double your (mileage) day.
