PARK TO PARK is a MAPLESS scenic social no-drop ride meandering clockwise from Minneapolis through Brooklyn Center, Brooklyn Park and Champlin. We’ll cruise the Shingle Creek Trail, Palmer Lake trails, the Rush Creek Regional Trail, circle Elm Creek Park and — depending on our mileage and mood — return via the Coon Rapids Dam and follow the MRT on the east side of the river. Occasionally we’ll do the ride in reverse. Lunch stop at various eateries on the east side of Hwy 169 in Champlin. Pace depends on the abilities of our riders and is usually a brisk BC, but we’ll adopt one agreeable to all.

LOCATION: The Carl W Kroening Interpretive Center is just south of the North Mississippi Regional Park, located between I-94 and the Mississippi River at 49th Ave N. Please park south of the building.

DISTANCE: The ride is usually about 40 miles but there’s always a shortcut bailout route of half that distance. Early in the season we may do fewer miles.

DRIVING ALERT: Please check with MnDOT for detours.

WEATHER may cancel the ride, so if in doubt please check the RIDE CANCELED, DELAYED OR RESCHEDULED forum or call the ride leader.

    Sucker Lake Regional Park
    4520 Rice Street
    Vadnais Heights, MN 55127

Ride start is Sucker Lake Regional Park--north entrance.

The route takes us around Bald Eagle Lake via gently rolling roads and a short paved trail section.  Roads are in good condition and are either low traffic or have good/wide shoulders.  Rest stop options are available but we won't plan to stop unless needed.  There will be a 'no pass the leader' warmup for the first few miles.  The ride leaders encourage group/social riding with others of comparable speed and re-grouping as needed.  Post-ride refueling afterwards at a local establishment if there is interest.

Please pre-register for the ride, which will be available until ride start time.  It makes it easier for the ride leaders and ensures you get mileage credit :)

Please download the route onto your GPS bike computer (available Friday morning) or print a map and cue sheet.  To print, click the GPS Route Link below, then click on More in the black box above the ride name, then Print Map & Cue PDF then Print Official

Let's try this again.  After getting rained out last Saturday, this coming Saturday's forecast looks a lot dryer.  So what better excuse is there to get in an early half century.

This ride is an exploration of the countryside west of Plymouth, passing through the hamlets of Rockford, Hamel and St. Michael.  The route will mainly use familiar, well kept country roads, most with shoulders.  There will be one rest stop planned at the Dunn Brothers in St. Michael at mile 30.  The ride leader will try to keep the pace at the high end of the A/B range in order encourage group riding.  Riders are free to exceed group pace if they are comfortable navigating route.

After the ride stick around for possible social gathering opportunities.

Pre-register if possible, as it makes the tracking of participants much easier and accurate.  Download the route if you are able, as the ride leader will only carry a small number of cue sheets.

Bathrooms are available at the ride start in HyVee, Caribou, and Holiday.

We will be running the TCBC Cruzin The Crow ride this week.

This is a 75 mile ride starting near the Dakota Trail Head in Wayzata.
This ride will be an A ride due to distance and speed. As an A ride, we will generally ride at a 18+ mph average pace. The elevation gain is approximately 2700 feet according to ridewithgps, mostly from rolling hills.

The route goes from Wayzata through Mound and out to Watertown. From Watertown, the route follows the Crow river through, Delano, Rockford, Hanover, and then St. Michael. From St. Michael, the route works it way back to Wayzata.

The café stop will be the Dunn Brothers in St Michael at mile 46.2.

We will discuss potential stops during the ride briefing. Options include: Watertown Bottle Check at 23.5; and Koch's Corner Bottle Check at 60.6.

This is a mapless ride, however the route in RideWithGPS is here: https://ridewithgps.com/routes/36533709

All self-sufficient riders are welcome; however, we anticipate that this ride will be ridden at an A pace--i.e., 18+ mph average.

We haven't done this ride since before COVID, so it's about time to try it again! The ride starts from Central Park in Roseville. On the way to McDonald's in White Bear, we'll be on the Reservoir Woods, Trout Creek, Gateway and Bruce Vento trails, as well as the trail along the west shore of White Bear Lake. We'll stop for a short break at Casey Lake Park along the way. After our breakfast stop we come back mainly on roads until we get to the east end of Central Park. This will be a mapless ride with leaders front and back, and our average speed will be around 11 mph. Use the Ride With GPS link to preview the route, get an idea of the elevation profile, print a map or cue sheet, download the route to your phone or GPS device, etc.

Meet in the Roseville Central Park parking lot on Lexington Avenue between County Roads B2 and C. A lot of roads are under construction so it's a good idea to check for directions before leaving home, even if you already know the way!

Call Lyle at 612 516 2053 or Miriam at 651 212 0775 with any questions.

    Coffee anyone?
This week's we will be riding to one of our favorite Café’, Ruby's Roost in Victoria. The route will be around 50 miles. The route starts at the Dakota Trailhead in Wayzata, and will travel thru and around Lake Minnetonka, south through Tonka Bay and then continues on to Victoria. We will stop at Ruby’s in Victoria for a short break, snack & coffee.

We often grab a bite after the ride.

    Social Gathering Before/After

Great ride for windy days as we ride every direction, but not for long. Saturday's forecast is for 10-15 mph winds out of the north. This route follows a mix of trails and bike lanes and crosses Boom Island, Nicollet Island and the Stone Arch Bridge.  Two excellent possibilities for coffee - at the rest stop which is Boot Strap Coffee around mile 20 and at Turtle Bread Longfellow. Both of these places have nice outdoor seating areas.  Boot Strap and Turtle Bread offer excellent coffee and pastries with rest rooms available. Plan to gather after the ride for some good chow and smack talk!

Note the ride start time is 9:30.  Ride briefing is at 9:25.

    BROTY ride!
