Great ride for windy days as we ride every direction, but not for long. Saturday's forecast is for 10-15 mph winds out of the north.This route follows a mix of trails and bike lanes and crosses Boom Island, Nicollet Island and the Stone Arch Bridge.  Two excellent possibilities for coffee - at the rest stop which is Boot Strap Coffee around mile 20 and at Turtle Bread Longfellow. Both of these places have nice outdoor seating areas.  Boot Strap and Turtle Bread offer excellent coffee and pastries with rest rooms available. Plan to gather after the ride for some good chow and smack talk!
