Join this classic ride to Marine on St. Croix with a rest stop at Pine Point Park and The General Store. Restrooms and water are available at ride start. The 29 and 47 mile routes are mostly flat but the 63 mile route is moderately hilly.

The 29 mile route goes south on Portland to Buffalo and follows the same return as all the routes.   47 mile route goes to Pine Point with an optional return on the trail if winds are unfavorable for the regular return.  63 mile route goes to Pine Point and then to Marine on St Croix.

Please download your route choice to your navigation device, as no paper maps will be available.

STARTING FROM THE SUMMERTIME PARKING LOT LOCATION!

The Starting Parking Lot is located in the parking lot in front of a building at -

    5114 N Mississippi Dr, Minneapolis, MN 55430

This building's restrooms are not open yet, so will start the ride by first going 0.5 miles south on the trail to the flushing toilets at Kroening Park, then ride back to the ride start parking lot.

ATTENTION!  Some mapping programs may not show the correct starting location.

The ride start parking lot entrance is at the very EAST end of 53rd Ave N

    Rest stops will be -

17 miles - Elm Creek Park chalet - restrooms, water - a shorter time stop

30 miles - Coon Rapids McDonald's - restrooms, water, soda, food, snacks - a longer time stop

Again, as always, the RideWithGPS route posted is only a general suggestion, as I routinely change it up slightly when needed.

This ride is a follow-the-leader keep-the-group-together at a pace that is acceptable to ALL that show.

I will be riding a road bike with 700x28mm tires, however, others that have had 700x23mm tires have ridden before with no issue.

Optional stop after the ride at Forgotten Star for refreshments and snacks.

No, it's not a Boolean expression. It's a C ride from Oakdale Nature Preserve to White Bear Lake, with a rest stop at Cup and Cone or Caribou. This is a rescheduling of the rained-out Thursday from Oakdale ride. I don't drink coffee so I'll be sampling the raspberry flavor of the day at Cup and Cone. This will be a mapless, stay-together ride at an average speed of about 11 mph. The GPS route link is there if you want to grab it. If you want to go faster, Carol is leading a B/C group on a different route.

Restrooms and water are available in the Oakdale Discovery Center building. Please check the TCBC ride calendar or the Forum for cancellations or rescheduling before leaving home, and call or text Lyle at 612 516 2053 with any questions.

I finally have a route posted. I wanted to do a couple different things just for fun. Had to have the WBL Highway Department come out and re-route some roads, but they didn’t seem to mind. It was a rainy day and they didn’t have anything else going on. Okay, no, I didn’t do that, but did check out some stuff to see if it would work and seems like it will. Guess we’ll see when we ride it!

Start at Oakdale Nature Preserve with bathrooms and water available in the Discovery Center building. Heads out on one of their trails through North St. Paul. We use the new Lake Links Trail along South Shore Blvd. and then use a trail I didn’t realize was there along White Bear Avenue to get on Hoffman Road from the north. It’ll be a fun adventure, you’ll see!

We finally end up at Cup & Cone or Caribou on 4th Street in White Bear Lake at 13 miles. Custard (raspberry is the Flavor of the Day) or something else at Caribou. Caribou has gotten possessive of their bathrooms unless you buy something there but Cup & Cone said Leeann Chin will let people use their restroom. A few more miles to go after our stop working our way back using White Bear Parkway, a short stretch on the Gateway Trail before the park trail back to the start.

B/C pace and I’ll probably average somewhere around 12.5-13 mph at the end. Faster self-sufficient riders are welcome to grab the route and ride off ahead. Lyle’s doing a more leisurely, little shorter and little different C route so options available.

Hoping roads will dry out but could be some puddles around. If forecast changes and any rain around AGAIN, ride could be canceled or postponed. Check the Forum, Ride Calendar or don’t hesitate to call or text me at 612-381-6711 if concerns about ride going.

This is a social B ride with the leader averaging about 14 MPH over the course of the route. This is an urban ride, with scenic views of the Mississippi River, Summit Avenue, and Lake Nokomis..  The route includes a mix of city streets and bike trails.  Ride leader prefers a mostly stay together ride, but self sufficient riders are welcome to ride at their own pace.   The route is mostly flat, but there a few notable hills, including a long downhill from Summit Avenue to downtown Saint Paul on Kellogg Blvd, and a steep uphill from the Lilydale Yacht Club to Highway 13.  We will regroup at the top of the hill.

Ride begins at Longfellow Turtle Bread, where there are nice rest rooms and excellent coffee and treats.  Parking is available on nearby city streets. Ride briefing will be five minutes before the ride start with departure immediately after. Riders are encouraged to come early or stay after the ride to enjoy the food and beverages available at Turtle Bread, or pick up something to take home.

There are a limited number of cue sheets for the ride so please download the route to your device. Please preregister for the ride.

    Social Gathering Before/After

Kick your weekend off right with a ride through the rolling hills of the St. Croix!

Hope you can join me for a nice 34 mile loop leaving from the Houtlon Park and Ride.  Restrooms are available at the trail head across the street.    We will plan to ride about a 17 mph average.  There are a couple climbs (this is Western WI) but nothing too outrageous, and nothing we will not regroup for.  We will work to keep the effort level under control and appropriate for a Friday evening and the group together as a shared effort.

After the ride socializing and refueling at either nearby Big Guys BBQ or another mutually agreeable establishment.

Please utilize the RWGPS link and the on-line pre-register tool so that we can communicate any updates or route changes with you.

Ride may be cancelled at the leaders' discretion due to rain.

    Social Gathering Before/After

The Dart 120 team ride consists of several teams, each with their own route, leaving the start location at the same time, returning 120k and 8 hours later to celebrate with the whole group.

The ride starts at 8a, finishes at 4p with some munchies and refreshments with the other teams.

There are 3 routes established all starting at the Black Dog Trail parking lot at I35W and Black Dog Road.

    1. Gravel - heading down to Lonsdale and back, about 50% gravel, easy class B roads

    2. Road/trail - heading south and east to Hastings on the Highline, Pine Bluff and Spring Lake trails

    3. Road - a more general road route heading down to Farmington and back on a combination of suburban and rural roads.

If we get more than 15 riders (5/team max), we'll create another team and come up with a route for them

GPS routes/cue sheets will be distributed to each team, once they are set

If you are interested in leading your own team and have 2-4 MnRando friends to join you let me know and we can work out a route for you.

NOTE: once you register, send an email or text Norman (nehrentreich@yahoo.com) or 763-360-9538 with the route you would prefer to be

Forecast says some rain Saturday morning, but hoping it’s done and roads are dry by 11 a.m. If not, ride may be postponed until Noon or 12:30, so please check the Forum, Ride Calendar or call or text me at 612-381-6711 if questionable conditions to ride.

Ride starts at Oakdale Nature Preserve. The Discovery Center building doesn’t open ‘til Noon on Saturday but portable toilets are available there, just no water. Route goes out through Demontreville, the Wildflower Conservancy prairie trail and ends up at the Holiday station on Manning at about 10 miles for a rest stop. We come back through Lake Elmo and could make a short side trip for a portable toilet at the Lake Elmo Lions Park ballfields around 20 miles if needed.

We use a couple new roads through the million-dollar homes in the Royal Golf Club development out to a loop around 20th/Legion/24th, then back through Lake Elmo Avenue and head for the barn.

B/C pace, and I’ll probably average somewhere between 12.5-13 mph at the end. Route is out here, so please download, pin to your phone or print and pin to yourself. Faster riders are welcome to ride ahead.
