The Dart 120 team ride consists of several teams, each with their own route, leaving the start location at the same time, returning 120k and 8 hours later to celebrate with the whole group.

The ride starts at 8a, finishes at 4p with some munchies and refreshments with the other teams.

There are 3 routes established all starting at the Black Dog Trail parking lot at I35W and Black Dog Road.

    1. Gravel - heading down to Lonsdale and back, about 50% gravel, easy class B roads

    2. Road/trail - heading south and east to Hastings on the Highline, Pine Bluff and Spring Lake trails

    3. Road - a more general road route heading down to Farmington and back on a combination of suburban and rural roads.

If we get more than 15 riders (5/team max), we'll create another team and come up with a route for them

GPS routes/cue sheets will be distributed to each team, once they are set

If you are interested in leading your own team and have 2-4 MnRando friends to join you let me know and we can work out a route for you.

NOTE: once you register, send an email or text Norman (nehrentreich@yahoo.com) or 763-360-9538 with the route you would prefer to be

This ride is sponsored by Minnesota Randonneurs. Please go to http://www.MnRando.org for more details and to officially register for the ride. There are membership requirements: you do need to be a Randonneurs USA member which covers ride insurance, collecting and managing RUSA ride statistics and randonneur award levels. You can sign up with RUSA at www.RUSA.org. Cost is $30 for 2024.  You can also join Minnesota Randonneurs for $25/year or pay a one day ride fee of $5.

Please note that this event is not a TCBC ride and although TCBC members can receive mileage credit for riding it, the ride is not covered by our LAB insurance. Minnesota Randonneurs, through Randonneurs USA, has their own LAB insurance policy coverage.

SORRY, BUT DELAYING THE RIDE START TIME UNTIL 1 P.M. SO ROADS CAN DRY OUT AFTER RAIN MOVES THROUGH AROUND 10-11 A.M.  ANY QUESTIONS OR CONCERNS, PLEASE DON'T HESITATE TO CALL OR TEXT ME AT 612-381-6711.

Ride starts at Oakdale Nature Preserve. The Discovery Center building opens at Noon with indoor bathrooms and water available at the start. Route goes out through Demontreville, the Wildflower Conservancy prairie trail and ends up at the Holiday station on Manning at about 10 miles for a rest stop. We come back through Lake Elmo and could make a short side trip for a portable toilet at the Lake Elmo Lions Park ballfields around 20 miles if needed.

We use a couple new roads through the million-dollar homes in the Royal Golf Club development out to a loop around 20th/Legion/24th, then back through Lake Elmo Avenue and head for the barn.

B/C pace, and I’ll probably average somewhere between 12.5-13 mph at the end. Route is out here, so please download, pin to your phone or print and pin to yourself. Faster riders are welcome to ride ahead.

    Social Gathering Before/After

Come ride on a mix of roads you should recognize.  From a mix of roads from the Withrow and Beyond, Lift Bridge Ride, and Scandia Scamper, we will make our way North to Scandia for a rest stop at the midway point at the Cenex Store in Scandia.  We will then work our way back to White Bear Beach via Hugo.  There is only the single rest stop planned in Scandia at the half way point.  According to my weather App's the sun should start peeking out around 4 PM with very light winds.  This route is fairly flat so the pace will be at the very high end of an A/B pace into the A range.  Depending on attendance, we may spilt into two groups. Typically the “main” group averages above18 mph.

Bathrooms are available at the start.  After ride lunch is optional at Cabin 61..

Please utilize the pre-registration tool and RWGPS Link for route information.

We'll start from Tamarack Nature Center and head to Hugo and back on a mix of roads and trails. It's a pretty flat route. This will be a mapless, stay-together ride and we will probably average around 11 mph -- maybe faster if the winds die down by evening.

Portable toilets are available at the ride start but bring water and snacks. There will be a brief rest stop with indoor restrooms in Hugo, halfway through the ride. As always, check for cancellations before leaving home, and call or text Lyle at 612 516 2053 with questions.

A mapless stay together ride that is perhaps the flattest ride in the club.  We'll start at Harriet Island in St. Paul and ride through Lilydale Park to the St. Paul Yatch Club.  We'll turn around and retrace the route riding pass our starting location and head down Plato and the Robert Piram trail to Kaposia landing in South St. Paul.  From there we'll continue down the MRT to the Rock Island Swing Bridge for our rest stop.  We'll return on the the MRT and make a short stop at the Charles W. 'Speed' Holman Memorial.  After this short stop we'll head back to Harriet Island using Bayfield, Filmore, and Harriet Island Blvd.

There is water and facilities at the rest stop, but you should plan on bringing your own snack.

This ride is free for current members and first-time guests.

Thanks to Pat Exley for letting me post a C version of this scenic (and flat) ride! See his B/C ride description for full details. We will be following the same route but at a slower pace, somewhere around 11 mph, so that we have more time to enjoy the beautiful views. This will be a mapless, stay-together ride. 45th Parallel Distillery
    1490 Madison Ave
    New Richmond, WI 54017

    Social Gathering Before/After

Join us at the beautiful 45th Parallel Distillery in New Richmond, WI for a 50 mile ride primarily north of New Richmond.  We will shoot for the upper end of an A/B pace of 17 mph.  An A group may form and run at a faster pace.  17 mph will be a good effort given the climbing and amount of shorter punchy hills particularly on the back half of the ride.  We will try moderate effort to keep the group together, but will regroup as necessary.  Understand that it is more difficult to “flow” as a group on the punchier terrain.

There will be rest stops at mile 23 in Osceola.

Please stay for rehydration, refueling, and socializing at the 45th following our excursion.  The menu at the 45th is phenomenal - can't miss!

The 45th opens at 10:00 AM - so bathrooms should be available at the ride start.  Please park away from the front as best you can to reserve those parking spots for the early arriving and lunch crowd.  We appreciate the 45th being gracious hosts for our rides.

Please use the pre-registration tool for signing up for the ride.
