    Como Park-West Picnic Grounds
    1200 Midway Parkway
    Saint Paul, MN

Park in the parking lot for West Picnic Grounds.

Join us as we get some early season miles in on this gently rolling route in the northeast metro.  There will be a 'no pass the leader' warmup for the first few miles.  The ride leader plans to average 14-15 mph at the end of the ride.

The ride start is at the West Picnic Grounds, NOT the Pavilion.

Please pre-register for the ride, which will be available until ride start time.  It makes it easier for the ride leaders and ensures you get ride notifications and mileage credit :)

Please download the route onto your GPS bike computer or print a map and cue sheet.  To print, click the GPS Route Link below, then click on More in the black box above the ride name, then Print Map & Cue PDF then Print Official

    Get me there
    Lakewood Park
    2160 Orchard Ln
    White Bear Lake, Minnesota 55110

From I-694, go north on White Bear Ave and turn right at Orchard Lane. Continue for 0.3 miles (past the YMCA building) and watch for the White Bear Arena and Lakewood Park signs on the right.

Join us for the very popular Withrow & Beyond Loop on a Monday

Note! - For 2024  the ride category is posted as “A” level.  We've found that the 2nd group pace line is averaging 17 to 19 mph average.  This is very doable pace for strong A/B Riders so still plan on joining us.  There will of course be the faster group A level riders that will lead out.

Please utilize the pre-registration tool and RWGPS Link for route information.

Bring a lawn chair, beverages, and snacks for post ride social hour!

If the weather is questionable please watch your email for ride cancellation or updates on start times.  You must be registered for the ride to receive the email updates or check the forum for possible cancellation.

    Get me there
    Lions Coon Creek Park
    1664 119th Ave NW
    Anoka County, United States 55448

Parking lot is at Hwy 10 and Hanson Blvd.  (just north on Hanson Blvd. from Hwy 10 - that's a right turn onto Hanson from westbound 10 and a right turn into the lot just past the gas station on your right).

This ride will aim for a 12 mph average speed. Depending on riders present the average speed range will be between 11 and 12 mph. This is a no-drop ride. There may be another faster (B) ride at the same time and location. Faster riders are encouraged to join that ride. Note that the two rides follow different routes, so register for the ride that matches the distance and speed you want. Rest stop is McDonalds at 14 miles.

Tour the neighborhoods of Coon Rapids and Andover.  This is a mostly flat route, primarily on paved roads with some paved trails.  The ride starts at Lions Park in Coon Rapids (We meet at the big parking lot, the second driveway you come to if coming from Hwy. 10 on Hanson Blvd.). Parking entrance is on Hanson Blvd.   Portable toilets at the start with possible portable toilets along the route.

The route is based on the Mr. Rogers Neighborhood ride (thank you John Rogers!)

    Get me there
Gateway Trail Access (No St Paul)
    2284 2nd St N
    No St Paul, MN 55109

We'll start at the "Windmill" parking lot on the Gateway and follow mostly familiar roads to Lake Elmo for our rest stop at Hagberg's. It's Tuesday, and maybe we'll be able to score a pork chop on a stick. They do have other good things to eat, plus indoor restrooms and a nice picnic area.  Check the Ride With GPS link for route details. This will be a mapless, stay-together ride at an average speed of about 11 mph. Carol will lead a B/C group at a somewhat faster pace and probably a longer distance.

Meet at the Gateway Trail access by the wind turbine in North St. Paul. Google Maps should recognize the location as "Rotary Park, Gateway State Trail, North Saint Paul, MN". To get there from MN Highway 36 eastbound, take the McKnight Road exit, then continue straight across McKnight onto North St. Paul Drive, go past the dirt piles (stay right so you don't end up back on Hwy 36), turn right at the stop sign onto 2nd Street and then left into the parking lot. Restrooms and water available at the start.

Please check the TCBC ride calendar or the Forum for cancellations or rescheduling before leaving home, and call or text Lyle at 612 516 2053 if you have any questions.

    Get me there
The Windmill - Hwy 36 & 2nd St Gateway trail
    2340 2nd St
    North St. Paul, MN 55109

We shouldn’t have any problem getting this ride in before some late afternoon rain. But please make sure you check the radar, Forum, Ride Calendar or call or text me at 612-381-6711 if rain coming sooner than predicted. Ride would be canceled if rain.

Leave from the wind turbine North St. Paul trailhead and head east to the lovely town of Lake Elmo and Hagberg’s Country Market at 13.2 miles. Bathrooms available at the start. You can get a porkchop-on-a-stick at Hagberg’s on Tuesdays! They have other good stuff, bathrooms and water and a nice little lunchroom area or picnic tables for our break.

Route is loaded so please download, pin to your phone or print a cue sheet. It’s nice rolling Washington County roads with a few little hills and a trip on the trail around the Wildflower Prairie which may have some nice wildflowers blooming. I plan to ride at a B/C pace and average somewhere around 12.5-13 mph at the end. Faster riders are welcome to ride off ahead.

Just an FYI – Lyle is doing a little shorter C ride on a slightly different route at a more leisurely pace, so we need to get to Hagberg’s before they scarf up all the porkchops!!

Directions to start: Hwy 36 to the McKnight Road exit.

From the east -- South on McKnight Road, get in the left lane and take the first left onto North St. Paul Drive, bear right (don’t get back on Hwy 36), go around the big dirt piles and turn right onto 2nd Street North. The trailhead parking lot is immediately on your left just before you see the Gateway Trail crossing on 2nd Street.

From the west – Hwy 36 to McKnight Road exit. Go straight across McKnight Road onto North St. Paul Drive, bear right, go around the big dirt piles and turn right onto 2nd Street North. Same as above, the trailhead parking lot is immediately on your left just before you see the Gateway Trail crossing on 2nd Street.
